TATA IPL 2024: The Indian Premier League 2024 season was started well yesterday, 22nd March 2024. The contest between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru was played at CSK’s fortress venue, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The defending champions of the TATA IPL 2024 season, the Yellow Army, started their campaign well with a win of six wickets. Gaikwad and his men were clinical in front of Faf du Plessis’s RCB on their home ground.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the new skipper of Chennai Super Kings won his first match as the skipper in the Indian Premier League. The opener, Gaikwad also guided the young Indian side towards the win at Asian Games 2023 in China.

The Yellow Army became the first team to defend their IPL crown in 2011 season of Indian Premier League. Chennai Super Kings won their first-ever title in 2010 and 2011, they started their campaign against the Purple army of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Super Kings won that match by just 2 runs as KKR scored 151 runs for the loss of seven wickets in a run chase of 154 runs. Dhoni was the skipper of that side who became the first team to win the first match and the title in the same year of this cash-rich league tournament.
