Khalistani Posters Surface Outside Guru Nanak Dev University Ahead of President's Visit to Amritsar

Despite heavy security arrangements made in Guru Nagri ahead of President Droupadi Murmu's visit, miscreants have defied the security arrangements by putting up posters of Khalistan outside Guru Nanak Dev University.

The police reached the spot as soon as they came to know about the incident.

At present, the investigation has been started by taking possession of the posters. DCP Mukhwinder Singh said that CCTV cameras installed in the area are being scanned.

It is being ascertained who has put up these posters and why.

Police and security agencies active

Before the arrival of the President, the police had made elaborate security arrangements in the city.

Along with the police, paramilitary forces have also been deployed at every point.

Police intelligence and central security agencies are also active regarding the statements of separatist Amritpal Singh.

On the other hand, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a terrorist sitting in Canada, has now taken the responsibility of putting up these Khalistani posters outside Guru Nanak Dev University.

Today, i.e. on Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu will be visiting famous places like Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Ram Tirath Sthal during her visit.
