Operation Blue Star Anniversary: Today i.e. June 6 is the 38th anniversary of Operation Blue Star. On this occasion, radical organizations have declared a bandh in Amritsar.
Keeping this bandh in view, the Punjab Police have converted the entire area into a cantonment.

Let us inform you that last week Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann had reviewed the law and order situation in the state ahead of the anniversary of Operation Blue Star.
The Chief Minister, presiding over a meeting with senior officials of police and civil administration, asked them to ensure comprehensive security arrangements across the state before June 6.
CM Mann also offered prayers at the Golden Temple on Sunday and held a closed-door meeting with Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh. Earlier, Punjab Police had also conducted a flag march in Amritsar city.
