The Indian spin bowler, Pravin Tambe played for two IPL franchise in his career of this cash-rich league tournament. He represented Rajasthan Royals and also the Gujarat Lions team. Tambe was oldest player to make his debut in this event of the shortest format.
Pravin was 41 years old when he played the Indian Premier League matches for the first time and he retired at the age of 44, which makes him the second oldest player in this segment and also in the Indian Premier League.
The young wicketkeeper is just 42 years old and he is still going strong like he is 24. MSD is the main player of the Chennai Super Kings franchise side. He is also the oldest captain to win an IPL title.
Mahi was 41 years old when he won the fifth IPL trophy for CSK last year in 2023. MS is still hitting the balls out of the park, he is still quick between the wickets and also very accurate behind the stumps.
The spin wizard of Sri Lanka, Muttiah Muarlitharan also played the Indian Premier League tournament. He played for the Yellow Army in the first season of 2008 and his final match was in 2014 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Murli was 42 years old when hung up his boots from played this cash rich league tournament.
After mentioning the spin legend of Sri Lanka, here is another legend of a spin bowler from South Africa. Imran Tahir was the player from the Chennai Super Kings franchise team. He was instrumental when CSK won their third IPL trophy in 2018.
Tahir also played for Riising Pune Supergiant and his last match was in 2021 against RCB when he was 42 years old.
