
COVID-19 Update: According to the Union Health Ministry, India witnessed a surge in daily Covid-19 cases with 10,542 new cases and 38 deaths being reported in the last 24 hours.
The death toll has now reached 5,31,190 with fatalities reported across various states, including Maharashtra, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Puducherry, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala.
Kerala has reconciled 11 deaths, as per the Health Ministry data.
According to the Health Ministry, the active Covid-19 caseload in India has reached 63,562, accounting for 0.14% of the total cases in the country.
The daily positivity rate is reported to be 4.39%. The case fatality rate remains at 1.18%.
On the recovery front, 4,42,50,649 individuals have successfully recovered from Covid-19, leading to a national recovery rate of 98.67%.
There were 7,633 new cases of Covid-19 and 11 deaths reported in the country on Tuesday.
According to the health department of the Delhi government, on Tuesday, the city witnessed 1,537 new COVID-19 cases, and the positivity rate stood at 26.54%.
So far, a total of 220.66 crore doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive.
