Covid-19 Update: According to the Union Health Ministry, India's daily Covid-19 caseload decreased slightly, with 9,111 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
The previous day, the country had registered 10,093 cases of Covid-19 during the same period.
As per the Health Ministry's data, the daily positivity rate stood at 8.40%, while the weekly positivity rate was reported to be 4.94%.
Currently, the active caseload in India has surpassed 60,000 and stands at 60,313. This accounts for 0.13% of the total infections in the country.
The Health Ministry's data revealed that 27 individuals lost their lives due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
Out of these, six fatalities were reported in Gujarat, four in Uttar Pradesh, three each in Rajasthan and Delhi, two in Maharashtra, and one each in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh.
Additionally, three deaths were reconciled by Kerala. The total death toll due to Covid-19 in India reached 5,31,141.
According to the Health Ministry, 6,313 individuals recovered from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 4,42,35,772.
The national recovery rate remained at 98.68%, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18%.
