
Tamil Nadu: The news of a major accident is coming out from Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. During a procession at a temple here, 11 people died and several people were injured due to electrocution. It is being told that this incident happened during the Temple Rath Yatra.
Police and eyewitnesses said the chariot was passing through a bend. Meanwhile, the people standing on the chariot came in the grip of a high voltage wire. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and immediately started the relief work.
It is being told that children were also included in the people who died in the accident. There are reports of the death of a total of 11 people including 2 children in this incident.
Let us tell you that the program of the 94th Guru Puja festival was being held in the temple. During this, hundreds of devotees had participated in this program.
Expressing grief over the accident, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. He also announced that the next of kin of the deceased would be given a compensation of Rs.5 lakh each.

Along with this, PM Modi announced Rs 2 lakh compensation each from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund and Rs 50,000 for the injured families of those who lost their lives in the Thanjavur accident.
