Agnihotri, a member of Vikas Gang, told the police that Vikas got a call before the police raid. Dayashankar says that it is possible that the phone was from the police station.

According to the police, Dayashankar says that Vikas Dubey had called 25 to 30 people who had illegal goods. Dayashankar told that the meeting of the goons of Vikas Dubey used to take place in a garden near the village. Vikas Dubey used to call his colleagues.
According to news agency ANI, Dayashankar said that a call was received by Vikas from the police station. After this, Vikas Dubey called 25 to 30 people. Vikas himself opened fire on the policemen. If Dayashankar is believed, he was locked inside the house at the time of the encounter so he could not see much.
