After a close win against the table toppers team of Rajasthan Royals, the Orange Army will take on the Blues for the second time in this season of the TATA IPL 2024. SRH weren’t good with the bat as they were earlier in the games whenever they had batted first in this year’s tournament. The team under Cummins were stranded by the Double R bowlers and that’s why the SRH batters were not in their full flow. When the Hyderabad team had played against the Mumbai Indians for the first time, they posted a score of 277 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal. But their bowling on the flat surface of Uppal wasn’t that great. However they managed to keep MI down to 245 runs in their 20 overs and won that game by 31 runs in the end. Now the SRH bowlers need to show the same calmness under pressure like they showed against MI and RR in their previous games. Against RR, the SRH bowlers started well with the wickets of dangerous Buttler and Samson. They also ended well with some overs at the backend. But the middle phrase of the innings wasn’t managed at all as every bowler of the orange army went for runs.

Against Mumbai Indians, who will look to hit lusty blows from the first delivery, SRH needs to bowl well in the right areas so that the MI batters will not find it easy. One more thing which is against Hyderabad is that they are poor in chasing. SRH lost to CSK and RCB in run chases. So they will have to rectify that issue as well before they move to the playoffs.

The five time champions side Mumbai Indians is having a torrid time in the TATA IPL 2024. Hardik Pandya who did well with the Gujarat Titans side hasn’t had the same time with his old franchise team of MI. His decisions has been criticized by many fans and cricket experts. The Blues are ninth on the points table while SRH is placed on the third spot.

Apart from Rohit, SKY and Tilak Varma, none of the batters have performed well for the MI side. The other players like Ishan Kishan, Tim David and Hardik Pandya should fire for the MI side. Their bowling has been evolved around Jasprit Boom Boom Bumrah and the spinners.

But Hardik hasn’t used Bumrah with the new ball and very rarely he has given the ball to Jasprit in the backend overs which is why MI has leaked runs with the ball in hand. The skipper of MI has picked up wickets and at the same time he has been expensive also.

MI should leave out  Gerald Coetzee and pick Romario Shepard in their playing eleven. They can also add Mohamed Nabi as their third overseas player for this must win match against SRH. Nuwan Pradeep can cement his place after he did a decent job against KKR in the last match.
