US Iran Tension Will Not Have Any Effect on India: Iranian Ambassador

Shivani Alakh

The situation between the US and Iran seems no less than a war. First the US attacked and killed Iranian commander General Qasim Sulemani on the soil of Iraq. After this, Iran also continued to threaten the US to attack. Then, on Wednesday morning, it was reported that Iran has attacked American bases in Iraq. Iran fired more than a dozen missiles at two US military bases in Iraq. The Pentagon said Iran targeted the airbase in Irbil and Al-Assad areas where the US military and its allied forces are stationed.

The statement came from the US that information is being collected about how much damage has been done in this attack. However, Iranian media quoted news agency saying that 80 people have died in Iran's latest missile attacks. The Iraqi army, on the other hand, has stated that no casualties were reported in the attack.

Ali Chegeni said "I would like to tell you that talks have been held between Iran and India on the status of Chabahar Port only a few days ago," he said. A conversation has also taken place between India, Iran and Afghanistan. We have agreed that we will accelerate the work of Chabahar Port. There was already work going on but there was some lethargy. Now work will start there faster than before.
