Home Minister Said that India is the Most Tolerant Nation in the World

Home Minister Rajnath Singh slammed veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah for saying Indian is intolerance nation.

The home minister said India was the most tolerant nation in the world and rejected the claims made by the actor.

His statement came two days after actor Shah expressed his concern over the negativity spread in the Indian society. Shah said that the death of cow is given more importance than the death of a police officer. He said so by giving the indirect reference of the Bulandshahr violence.

Bollywood actor also showed his anxiety over his children's well-being.

Rajnath Singh said that "the tolerance that exists in India is unmatched, such tolerance is not found in any corner of the world."

Home Minister also said that India is the only country where people from different religion are living peacefully for centuries.

He told to media at the 114th Foundation Day function of King George's Medical University in Lucknow.

As per the reports of ANI, Singh also said, "there are 72 sects in Islam, all of them are found here, not even the Islamic countries have all. There's no question of intolerance in the country."

During the occasion, Rajnath Singh also gave medals to 86 top students of the King George's Medical University in Lucknow.
