Now People in Rajasthan can Inform Police through Whatsapp

Akash Singh

In Rajasthan, any person can now inform the police about some serious crimes. For this, the WhatsApp helpline has been activated at the police headquarters. For this, any person can share information with the police about crimes that have taken place in public places. Its aim is to reduce crime from the state.

BLG Soni, ADG, CID Crime Branch, has issued a circular directing all Range and District Police Officers to do extensive publicity in this regard by making the WhatsApp helpline of Police Control Room more active. Soni said that WhatsApp is a simple means to easily share information with the police, if anyone has information about crime or such incidents in public places, which require action by the police. All district police control rooms have WhatsApp helplines, on which such information and photos and videos of the incident can be shared by anyone with the police. Such a system is being set up in the police control room that the information received by the public will be forwarded to the concerned officer as soon as they send information to the helpline. Senior officials will regularly review the action taken on the information taken by the concerned officer.

These information can be given through Whatsapp:

1. Any activity which causes danger or serious inconvenience to the public.

 2. Any crime with women, children, elderly people and weaker sections.

3. Illegal hookah bar operation.

4. Notice of any wanted criminal or criminal activity.

5. Any such event or accident which requires immediate police assistance.

6. Opening liquor shop after eight o'clock at night.
