These Three Cars of Skoda will be Launched after Three Days, Know what is Special Among them?

Skoda is also postponed by Lockdown to launch its new cars.  However, the Czech carmaker is now resorting to a single day to launch its cars.  All the auto companies of lockdown are adopting digitization, i.e. selling cars or launching new cars.  The company is doing all this digitally.  Skoda is also going to launch its new Skoda Karoq, Superb facelift, new Rapid 1.0 after three days i.e. on 26 May.  These three vehicles were introduced by the company at the 2020 Auto Expo.  Booking for these three cars of Skoda has started.

The Skoda Karoq is a mid-size SUV that will cost around Rs 20 lakh.  The company will bring it to India via the CBU route and will compete with the Hyundai Tucson and VW T-Roc in addition to the Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass.  The only engine option will come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.  The engine will come with a 7-speed DSG transmission.

The biggest change in the Skoda Rapid sedan is the company going to make its engine.  The company will remove the 1.6 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine from it and now the company will include a 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine in it.  This engine will generate 110PS power and torque of 175Nm.  You can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.  The company will price Rapid between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 14 lakh.  In the Indian market, it will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Vento.

Talking about the Skoda Superb facelift, it will come with a new external design.  In this, the company will provide new matrix LED headlights and LED fog lamps as features.  Along with this, a new 360-degree camera will be given in it and it will come with in-fashion connected car technology.  This sedan will come in two variants – Sportline and Laurin & Klement variants.  Talking about the engine option, it will come in two variants – 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine which generates 192 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque.  This engine comes with a 7-speed DSG transmission.  Skoda will keep the price of this vehicle around 30 lakh rupees and it will give a tough competition to Toyota Camry Hybrid.
