Ragging in ICFAI: Hindu Boy Forced to Chant 'Allahu Akbar' in Hyderabad

A video is becoming increasingly viral on social media since Saturday (November 12, 2022) morning. In this video, Himank Bansal, a student of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) in Hyderabad, is being forced to chant 'Allahu Akbar' while being beaten up by other college students.

According to the Telangana police, the victim student complained that he was physically and sexually assaulted by 15-20 people in his hostel room.

Youth seen beating and threatening Himank Bansal in video

In this video viral on social media, a group of students can be seen thrashing and threatening Himank Bansal inside the hostel room.

It is clearly visible in this video that Himank is alone in the room and the rest of the people together are slapping and kicking him. During the fight, Himank is also thrown off the bed he is seen sitting on.

Case registered against the culprits

The victim Himank Bansal has also handed over the video and photographic evidence of the assaults to the police along with the complaint.

Following his complaint, Cyberabad Police has stated that an FIR has been registered by Shankarpalli Police Station under Sections 307, 323, 342, 450, 506 r/w 34 IPC and Section 4(i)(ii) of Telangana Prohibition of Ragging Act.
