HP Borders Sealed after Khalistani Flags Hoisted in Assembly, Government on High Alert

The Himachal government is on high alert following the hoisting of Khalistani flags in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly. The government has directed the security personnel to be vigilant at all places, from banks to PSUs.

Also, the government ordered to increase the security of dams, railway stations, sensitive cities, and important government buildings.

Hotels, taverns and congested areas will be monitored, while SPs of adjoining districts have been directed to keep DGP's orders, bomb disposal squads and QRT teams on alert. All inter-state borders will be sealed and the state border will be closely monitored.

The Himachal Pradesh border has been sealed off by the Himachal Police since Sunday night and strict checks are being carried out on every visitor.

According to Himachal Police, security has been beefed up at the border so that no mischievous miscreants can enter the border.

SIT has been constituted by the HP Police

Following the incident, an SIT has been constituted by the Himachal Pradesh Police, which is investigating the matter. According to Himachal Police, the state's inner border has been sealed off and barricades have been set up at various places.

The bomb disposal squad has also been asked to be prepared for the situation. Police teams are also patrolling the area to detect any suspicious activity. Apart from this, hotels are also being monitored by the HP Police.

Khalistan flags were seen hoisted outside the Vidhan Sabha

After the Khalistani flag incident, CM Jai Ram Thakur said that for some time now we have been seeing in Himachal Pradesh that some forces were involved in carrying out such incidents.

But they will not succeed. As far as displaying Khalistan flags outside the Vidhan Sabha in Dharamshala is concerned, an FIR has been registered against anyone who has committed this mischief. An inquiry has been launched into the matter.

The scoundrels will soon be caught. Himachal is a peace-loving state and such activities will not be tolerated here.
