This will be PM Modi's second visit to Gujarat after the announcement of Gujarat assembly elections. Earlier, PM Modi addressed a public meeting in Kaprada village of Valsad district of Gujarat.

Apart from this, during that time PM Modi also participated in the mass marriage ceremony 'Papa Ni Pari' Lagnotsav 2022 in Bhavnagar. There was a marriage program of 522 girls in this ceremony.

During this, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth thousands of crores ranging from the metro, Vande Bharat train and hospitals for Gujarat. Now PM Modi is going to visit Gujarat for the fourth time on 19th November.

Reason why BJP is giving so much importance to Gujarat

Gujarat becomes important for BJP because it is the home state of PM Modi. Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from October 2001 to May 2014. The second reason is that the BJP has been in power here since 1995.

Three wayed Competition

Congress has not been able to return to power since then. However, in the 2017 assembly elections, Congress gave a tough fight to the BJP and managed to win 72 out of 182 seats, while BJP took the victory with 99 seats.
