Kejriwal in Jail, Wife Sunita Conducts First Roadshow in Delhi, Makes Emotional Appeal to Public

Since Independence

On Saturday in the capital city of Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party hosted a roadshow led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal.

Riding atop the campaign van, Sunita Kejriwal greeted the crowd with folded hands as she moved forward, while supporters held "I Love Kejriwal" posters.

Her convoy reached Kalyanpuri in East Delhi, joined by AAP ministers, legislators, councillors, and activists from across Delhi.

This event marks Sunita Kejriwal's first political campaign in Delhi following the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.

Sunita Kejriwal Makes Heartfelt Plea for Jailed Husband

During the entire roadshow, supporters held posters saying "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se," "We miss you Kejriwal," and "I Love Kejriwal."

During the event, the Chief Minister's wife made an emotional appeal to the public. She said, "Greetings to everyone, your Chief Minister, my husband, has been forcefully put in jail, even though the court has not found him guilty."

Sunita Kejriwal further stated, "If the investigation goes on for 10 years, will they keep him in jail for 10 years? They have come up with a new system where they will keep him in jail until the investigation is completed. Arvind Kejriwal has had diabetes for 22 years and has been on insulin for 12 years. Without insulin, his kidneys and liver could fail. Do they want to kill Arvind Kejriwal? The people of Delhi love Arvind Kejriwal."

'Arvind is a Lion' - Sunita Kejriwal

She said, "What is Arvind Kejriwal's fault? Arvind Kejriwal has made electricity free in Delhi. He built schools for your children, and that’s why Kejriwal was arrested. Arvind Kejriwal is a lion. Nobody can bend Arvind Kejriwal. Today, this daughter of Mother India pleads with you to save the country from dictatorship. Understand the power of your vote. Everyone go out and vote on May 25th, save democracy. We will respond to jail with votes. Together, we will fight against dictatorship and win."
