Delhi Liquor Scam Case: In the Delhi liquor scam case, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia are already in jail. The Aam Aadmi Party had expressed concerns that four more of its leaders could be arrested.

Among them, on Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has now summoned AAP leader Durgesh Pathak.

Additionally, the ED has also summoned Arvind Kejriwal's private secretary Bibhav Kumar for questioning at the ED headquarters.

It should be noted that Bibhav Kumar has been questioned by the ED before. In September 2022, when the ED raided Vijay Nair's place, Durgesh Pathak was also present with him, and the ED had seized Pathak's phone.

The central agency has repeatedly referred to Kejriwal as the "kingpin" of the alleged liquor scam and arrested him on March 21, sending him to Tihar Jail after his court appearance.

Potential Arrest of Durgesh Pathak

Atishi had expressed apprehension about the arrest of Durgesh Pathak. Pathak received this summons a few days after Atishi, a minister in the Delhi government, claimed that the agency would arrest four other AAP leaders in connection with this scam.

Atishi made this claim after Arvind Kejriwal mentioned her name along with Saurabh Bharadwaj's in court during the ED's statement.

The Chief Minister of Delhi is in judicial custody until April 15, and now the ED needs some clarification from Bibhav.

Who is Durgesh Pathak?

Durgesh Pathak is currently under investigation because the Enforcement Directorate (ED) requires some "clarifications" regarding certain documents in its probe.

Notably, Durgesh Pathak was the in-charge of the Aam Aadmi Party during the Goa Legislative Assembly elections. According to ED's claims, the Aam Aadmi Party allegedly utilized the amount collected through donations during the Goa elections.

Durgesh Pathak is a legislator from Rajinder Nagar in Delhi and has been associated with the party since its formation at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan in 2012.
