All Private Schools Closed till January 15 amid Severe Cold in Delhi

In view of the harsh winter in the country's capital Delhi, the government has ordered that all private schools under the Directorate of Education will remain closed till January 15.

The Delhi government has ordered that the schools should be closed till January 15 because of the winter. Be aware that some schools were closed till January 8 and were about to open from January 9, but now the school holidays have been extended for seven more days i.e. till January 15.

Because of the havoc of winter and cold waves in Delhi-NCR, the government has taken this decision. On the other hand, the government schools of Delhi have winter vacations from January 1 to January 15.

Online classes from home

A circular in this regard has been issued by the Directorate of Education, Delhi. In this, citing the December 25 circular, it has been advised to close all private schools till January 15.

Earlier, many private schools in the capital were preparing to open on Monday i.e. Jan 09.

However, it is being told that online classes from home have also been talked about during this period, that is, there will be no loss of education for children during this period and they will be able to do online classes from home.

At the same time, the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) had written a letter to Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia demanding an extension of holidays in private schools till January 15.

Every day cold records are being broken in Delhi. Sunday i.e. Jan 08 was the coldest day of the season. Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 1.9 degrees.

For the last three days, the minimum temperature of the capital has been recorded as less than the hill station. That is, the national capital Delhi is experiencing more winter than the hill stations.
