The Delhi government will present the budget for the financial year 2022-23 in the Delhi Assembly today i.e. on Saturday. Delhi Finance Minister Manish Sisodia will present the Delhi budget at 11 am. According to sources, the Kejriwal government will continue to provide free schemes in the budget this year as well, including free electricity, free bus travel for women, free water and free Wi-Fi. At the same time, the main focus of the government will be on education and health as every year. Like every year, this year too the Kejriwal government may try to escalate the education budget. The Corona epidemic has hit revenue hard for the past two years, yet the government has not cut the budget.

Last year, the Kejriwal government presented a total budget of Rs 69,000 crore. Rising pollution has become a major problem in Delhi every year, due to which the government has been making some special announcements on the environment in the budget every year. It is being said that the government may make special announcements in the budget this year too to get rid of the problem of rising pollution. The Delhi government has tried to involve the people of Delhi in preparing this year's budget.
The government had sought suggestions from the people of Delhi on the budget, on which the government claimed that this time the budget was prepared based on these suggestions. The Delhi government has dubbed the budget 'Swaraj Budget'. The government has received 5500 suggestions from the people till February 15. According to officials, Delhiites are impressed with the development of the education system in the Aam Aadmi Party government and want similar facilities for adults. Some people have suggested setting up of 'Mohalla Library' on the lines of 'Mohalla Clinic', while others have suggested running 'Entrepreneur-Investment Seminars and Programs for Small Businesses' on the lines of 'Business Blaster'. At the same time, while seeking suggestions from the people, the government had raised some issues and sought suggestions keeping these issues in mind.
