Bihar: 10-Year-Old Girl Raped in Purnea, Sand Poured in her Genitals after Heinous Act

Purnea Rape Case: A young man from a village in the Dagarua police station area in the Purnea district, Bihar, committed an act of extreme cruelty towards a 10-year-old girl who was playing with her friends.

As per the victim's mother, a 25-year-old youth took the girl approximately half a kilometre away from the village and sexually assaulted her.

During this, after bleeding from the victim's genitals, he fled from there by putting sand and soil in her private part. It is being said that the incident happened on Saturday, April 8th.

Purnea Rape Case: FIR was lodged at Dagarua police station

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the relatives lodged an FIR at the Dagarua police station.

Police said the accused took the 10-year-old girl to an isolated place and raped her. Then he also put mud and sand in the private part of the victim.

Purnea Rape Case: Accused to face speedy trial

26-year-old accused has been charged under the POCSO Act

The incident, which occurred on Saturday (April 8), was reported to the police by the victim's family. The perpetrator was later apprehended by the police, and as per reports, the 26-year-old accused has been charged under the POCSO Act.

Purnea's Superintendent of Police Aamir Jawaid stated that the victim is currently receiving medical treatment and that a speedy trial will be initiated against the accused.
