After this, the Assam government has taken strict steps for mosques and madrasas, under which a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is being made for the recruitment of Imams and Madrasa teachers.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has appealed to all the Muslims of the state to inform the police if a new Imam or a new teacher comes to the mosque in their area.

Police will do their background check and verification.

Portal being made for recruitment information

Along with this, a portal is also being created, where it will be necessary to enter information about the recruitment of teachers of non-government madrasas and imams of mosques.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said that there is still the news of five such jihadis or terrorists hiding in the country. Operation is on to nab them.
