Rajasthan Royals was sitting on the first position till Kolkata Knight Riders sealed that spot from them. The double R’s couldn’t even finish second on the points table which would made their job a bit easier because the top two sides get another chance to cement their place in the finals. However, the rains in Guwahati ruined their chances to go on the second spot.

RR is currently on a four match losing streak in the TATA IPL 2024. Samson and co started the 17th season of this cash-rich league tournament well. But the four losses will make a huge impact on them and for this must win game, Rajasthan will be without Royals player, Jos Buttler, who is also the skipper of England’s T20 side and he has gone back home for the national duty.

Without Jos, who will open the innings for RR? The Royals can think of Sanju Samson as the opening partner of Yashasvi Jaiswal. The skipper has played well for them in this season. Samson has scored 504 runs in this season and he is in the seventh position in the overall list of the highest run getters. Riyan Parag can bat at number three. He has also done well with the bat in hand for RR.

Parag is the fourth highest run scorer of this season. Riyan has amassed 531 runs to his name as of now in this IPL. The Royals should also think about their bowling line up as well. With Trent Boult, they can add Nandre Burger in their playing XI or include him as an impact player, which will strengthen their pace bowling attack for the last two matches.

Playing Eleven Of Rajasthan Royals – RR: Sanju Samson (C and WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Dhurv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Nandre Burger, Yuzvendra Chahal and Sandeep Sharma or Avesh Khan.

Talking about the team of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Faf and his men are on a roll after they struggled in the initial phase of this season of the Indian Premier League 2024. Now RCB has six wins on the trot. They have a settled batting unit and their bowling is also firing.

The Challengers will also miss Will Jacks from England in this game. But they have Glenn Maxwell in their side along with his Aussie teammate Cameron Green. They can be dangerous in the middle overs and last overs as well.

The bowling unit of RCB now looks more threatening. Mohammed Siraj looks in good form and Yash Dayal too knows how to make a comeback after leaking runs. In the last season, Rinku Singh had smashed five sixes in the last over of Yash Dayal’s bowling. But now he has turned a match winner for RCB.

Dayal also bowled the last over, the first delivery of that innings went for a maximum. But Yash made a strong comeback against CSK and picked up the wicket of MS Dhoni, which allowed the Bengaluru side to qualify for the playoff berth of this season. RCB didn’t even allow CSK to score 201 runs, which could have made the playoff path clear for the Yellow Army.

According to many experts, RCB looks favourite to win this match. That is because they have the momentum with them and many also predict that Faf and Co will also reach the finals. The winner of this encounter, (RR Vs RCB) will play against the loser of the qualifier one match, which is played between SRH and KKR today.

Playing XI Of RCB: Royal Challengers Bengaluru – Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, Cameron Green, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Karn Sharma, Yash Dayal, Lockie Ferguson and Mohammed Siraj.
