Indian women's T20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that our domestic structure is five-six years behind from Australia and England. But we are better than them in terms of skill. Harmanpreet said, 'Our players have been focusing on fitness for the last three years.'

Harmanpreet said, "Players are now focusing on fitness. The things that we have achieved in the last two-three years, England and Australia have been doing for long time."Harmanpreet said that awareness is increasing due to the central contract and better facilities. Earlier there was a huge difference in the performance of domestic players and international players, but now the BCCI is running a separate program for women players.

The ODI World Cup is to be held in New Zealand next year. She said, "Our focus is on fitness, fielding, two-three fast bowlers. We have better batsmen and bowlers than England-Australia. For this reason, we defeated teams like Australia and England in the World Cup and earlier Tri-Series."

Harmanpreet said, "We have to reduce the dependency on spinners. In the T20 World Cup, only Shikha Pandey could do well as a fast bowler, while there were many options in spin. This situation would not have come if we had focused on preparing a fast bowler a year or two ago." She said that we need at least three fast bowlers in the team. Hopefully, we will get good bowlers in the next one or two years.
