Rohit Sharma – The current skipper holds the record for scoring the most runs against the Proteas in the T20 World Cup. Hit Man has scored 128 runs from four matches and four innings with a strike rate of 118.51 and an average of 42.66.

Rohit is the only Indian to score more than a hundred runs against South Africa in the T20 World Cup event, and he is the only Indian batter to smash a half-century against the Proteas in T20 WC. Sharma’s best score came in the T20 World Cup 2007, where he smashed an unbeaten 50 runs in Kingsmead Durban. 

Faf du Plessis – The former South African skipper and the current captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Faf du Plessis, has scored the most runs against India in the T20 World Cup.

The former SA skipper has amassed 123 runs from just two matches and two innings. Du Plessis had a strike rate of 155.69 and an average of 61.50.

He is the only South African batter to score two half-centuries against India in the T20 WC editions. His best score against India in T20 WC was 65 runs. 

T20 World Cup 2022 India Vs South Africa – Most Wickets in T20 WC 

Johan Botha – This spin bowler of South Africa had foxed three Indian batters in the T20 World Cup events. Botha has the highest wickets against India in this tournament, and he has picked up these wickets in lesser matches and innings compared to the other two Proteas bowlers, who have been tied with an exact number of wickets.

Botha had an economy rate of 6.57, a strike rate of 14, and an average of 15.33. He had picked up three wickets for 16 runs as his best figures against India in T20 WC. 

Rudra Pratap Singh – The former Indian pace bowler RP Singh had picked up five wickets against South Africa in the T20 World Cup editions. RP has played just two T20 WC matches against the Proteas, and the five wickets are the most by the India bowler in this ICC mega event.

He had an average of 6.80, an economy rate of 5.66, and a strike rate of 7.2. He is the only Indian to pick up a four-wicket haul against SA in T20 WC. Singh did this magic in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
