India has won T20 International in New Zealand, and now the men in blue gear up for the three-match One-Day International series starting from Friday, 25th November 2022, at Eden Park in Auckland.

Today we at 11Sixes have made a fantasy prediction and listed five players to watch out for in this series of the fifty-overs format.

Shikhar Dhawan

India will go with a new captain for the ODI series against New Zealand. After Hardik Pandya led the team to a series win in the shortest format. Now Gabbar, Shikhar Dhawan, will have to do the same for the men in blue side in the series of the fifty overs format. Dhawan has done well as a captain of the ODIs so far.

Shikhar Dhawan

As captain of the fifty-over format, Gabbar has won series in Sri Lanka and the West Indies. India also won the three-match series in the ODI format against South Africa before the start of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

The home side had lost the 1st match of that ODI series. But Dhawan and co made a remarkable comeback and sealed the fifty overs format series against The Proteas.

Now against a strong opposition team like the Kiwis, India will need Shikhar to step up as a batter and leader. He has played before in New Zealand and should use that experience to guide team India to win a series win. Dhawan will be the senior pro of this team in the absence of Kohli and Rohit. India hasn't won an ODI series in the Kiwi nation since 2009.

Suryakumar Yadav

The number one T20 International batter now can show his class in the fifty overs format. SKY has been an excellent batter in the shortest format for the men in the blue side. But can he transfer his superb form in the ODIs also?

Indian player Suryakumar yadav

To be part of the ICC World Cup 2023 in India, Suryakumar must also show his calibre in the one-day international format and be a consistent performer.

SKY would be a crucial middle-order batter for Team India, and that's why he holds the key for the visitors in this three-match series.

Tom Latham

The Kiwi's wicket-keeper-batter, Tom Latham was the captain when New Zealand won the ODI series in 2020, the last time India toured the country for a full-fleshed series.

Under Virat Kohli, the team whitewashed the home side, NZ, in the T20I series and their regular skipper Kane Williamson wasn't available for the series of the fifty-over format.

Kiwi's player Tom Latham

In the crunch situation, Latham guided his side to a whitewash win against India, and now in this series, he will hold the key in the opening position.

Latham wasn't part of the T20 World Cup 2022 and the T20I series against India. He is a good batter across formats for the BlackCaps side.

Tom Latham and Finn Allen would be a dangerous opening pair in this ODI series from New Zealand.

Matt Henry

New Zealand would want Matt Henry to fire in this ODI series without their star bowler, Trent Boult. The home side would also like a senior bowler to partner Tim Southee.

New Zealand player Matt Henry

Henry is an excellent fast bowler in all three formats, and he can also make use of swing and seam from the tracks of New Zealand with the new ball.

Matt can also be lethal in the death overs. New Zealand should include Matt Henry, their playing XI for all three ODI games against India.

Arshdeep Singh

This pacer from Team India, Arshdeep Singh, had impressed in the T20 International format. Singh was also the highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, and he even bowled well in the T20I series against New Zealand. Arshdeep picked up four wickets in two matches against The Kiwis in that series.

Pacer from Team India, Arshdeep Singh

According to the predictions of 11Sixes, Arshdeep Singh will also continue his incredible run in this One-Day International series. He has been going great in the powerplay overs and is making full use of the new ball by getting wickets upfront.

India will need Arshdeep to start and end well in this fifty-overs series. Singh would be a great addition to the fifty-overs world cup Indian squad next year.
