SRH Vs LSG: In the Indian Premier League 2024 season, the fight to get in the top four is on. However, the top two teams have cemented their places for the playoffs.
KKR and RR are on the first and second positions, and will certainly play the first qualifier match. But the other teams are still fighting to be on the third and fourth spot of the points table of TATA IPL 2024.

The Orange Army lost their previous encounter against Mumbai Indians, played yesterday, i.e., 6th May 2024 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. SRH batted first in that match and had a decent start to their innings.
But they couldn’t kick on after the wicket of Abhishek Sharma. SRH could post only 173 which was chased easily by Mumbai Indians on their home ground.
MI chased that score mainly because of Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten century and he was also well supported by Tilak Varma, who is the highest run scorer for MI in the TATA IPL 2024 season.
SRH needs to find the right balance and approach when they will take on the LSG side. The Orange Army are yet to win a match against Lucknow’s Super team. Head, Abhishek and Klaasen were good with the bat in the earlier when SRH amassed the 250-plus scores.
However, since the last few matches, their batting hasn’t had that aggressive approach and that is the reason why their batters have failed to put up a defendable score in their allotted 20 overs. Their bowling was good against RR when they won that game by just one run. Bhuvi, Cummins, and Unadkat are doing a decent job.
But SRH will need to find one more spinner alongside Mayank Markande. They can add Washington Sundar in their playing XI for the next match. Washy can be picked as the impact player as well because he can bowl in the powerplay overs and in the middle overs as well.
Playing XI Of SRH – Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Henrich Klaasen (WK), Aiden Markram, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Abdul Samad, Pat Cummins (C), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markande and T Nataranjan.
The Super Giants team is also coming from a loss just like their opponent from the next game, SRH. LSG weren’t good as a bowling unit and they didn’t fire with the bat as well. That’s why they lost the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, 5th May 2024 by a whopping margin of 98 runs, which is the biggest defeat in terms of runs for Rahul and his men.
Now that the playoff race is on, LSG needs to give a superb performance against Cummins and Co. tomorrow. They will have to go with their regular opening combination of Rahul and De Kock. Their experiment with Kulkarni didn’t work. With that, Lucknow will also need players like Hooda and Krunal to fire in this match versus SRH.
The LSG bowlers conceded 235 runs in the last match. So they need to tweak their bowling lineup as well. Lucknow should add Matt Henry, who is an experienced and internationally famed bowler in their playing XI or he can be their impact player, who can come in the place of a batsman when LSG bowls.
Playing XI Of LSG – Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul (C and WK), Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Matt Henry/Naveen-ul-Haq, and Yash Thakur.
These two teams, SRH and LSG are playing the Indian Premier League since 2022. So far only three matches have been played and in that, Lucknow Super Giants have won all the three matches played against the Orange Army of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are yet to open their account against KL Rahul and his Super Men.
