Gaikwad scored 93 runs off 103 balls with 8 fours and two sixes. However, Sanju Samson and Vijay Shankar failed to impress. Khalil Ahmed took four wickets for India. New Zealand's batsmen Jakob Bhula and Jack Boyle shared an 82-run partnership for the first wicket, but after that none of the team's batsmen could face the Indian bowlers strongly. Bhula scored 50 and Boyle scored 42 runs. Apart from these, Cleaver scored 33 runs. In front of India's tight bowling, the entire team of New Zealand XI was all out for 187 runs in 41.1 overs.
