ICC Announces Commentary Panel for WTC Final

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced a commentary panel for the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton starting on June 18. Along with former Indian legend, Sunil Gavaskar and Dinesh Karthik-the panel includes Kumar Sangakkara, Nasser Hussain, Simon Doull, Isa Guha, Ian Bishop and Michael Atherton.

The only woman in the list is Isha Guha who has been commentating during men's cricket for a long time. Apart from Ian Bishop and Michael Atherton, the name of former New Zealand legend Craig McMillan has also been included in this panel of nine people.

Regarding his inclusion in the panel, Dinesh Karthik said, "The inaugural WTC Final is the much-anticipated pinnacle event in Test cricket, and I am looking forward to an exciting match between India and New Zealand. There is so much at stake here, both teams look evenly matched and what makes it even more interesting is that they are going to be playing at a neutral venue. It's an honour to work as a broadcaster on this historic event."

New Zealand Announced squad for WTC final:

New Zealand has announced its squad for the ICC World Test Championship final against India. At the same time, a 15-man squad has been announced for the final. It includes the names of Captain Kane Williamson and wicketkeeper BJ Watling. Meanwhile, both were ruled out of the squad due to injury before the second match against England.

Both experienced players are available for the WTC final. On the other hand, New Zealand's team has reached Southampton from Birmingham to play the final match. After the team's arrival, the team's coach Gary Stead said, "Kane and BJ have certainly benefitted from their week of rest and rehabilitation. Playing in a World Cup Final is a really special occasion. I know the guys are looking forward to getting into their work here in Southampton."
