Coronavirus: Pakistan Cricket Board to Conduct Online Fitness Test for Players

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, all sports tournaments including Tokyo Olympic and IPL have been postponed or canceled. Currently, one-third of the world's population is imprisoned in homes. In such a situation, all the cricket boards including India and Pakistan are worried about the fitness of their players. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to conduct fitness and yo-yo tests for over 200 of its players online. The PCB will conduct this test through video link on April 20 and 21. Pakistan's chief selector and coach Misbah-ul-Haq has given a letter to all the players about the fitness test. This test will be taken by the team's trainer Yasir Malik. This test includes 2.5 meter standing broad jump, 50 sit-ups (full range) in 1 minute, 60 push-ups (full range) in one minute, 30 burps in 1 minute, 10 full chin-ups in one minute, 25 Bulgarians Includes split scots (both sides), reverse planks for 2 minutes and a level-18 yo-yo test.

At the same time, the BCCI is keeping an eye on the fitness routine of its contract players. Indian team's trainer Nick Webb and physio Nitin Patel are monitoring the athlete monitoring system (AMS) app. A few days ago, the players were instructed by the BCCI for indoor workouts, which is being done well. Nick Webb, along with Nitin, had prepared an indoor workout plan for the players, which all the players are following.
