Dhirendra Shastri Udaipur Case: Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has been charged with hurting religious sentiments among communities in Udaipur, and the Udaipur police has registered an FIR under Section 153-A against him at the Hathipole police station.

The controversy arose from a statement issued by Dhirendra Shastri at the Dharma Sabha event on the occasion of the Hindu New Year in Rajasthan’s Udaipur where he mentioned Kumbhalgarh in Rajsamand.

During the event held on Thursday i.e. March 23, Dhirendra Shastri made a statement questioning the display of 100 green flags on the fort and suggested that they should be replaced with saffron flags.

The statement led some youths to create a ruckus at Kumbhalgarh fort, resulting in the arrest of 5 individuals by the Kelwara police station.

Arrests Made Following Controversial Statement by Dhirendra Shastri

According to Udaipur Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma, a case has been filed against Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, also known as Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, for making a statement that increased disharmony between communities.

The statement resulted in some youths committing mischief in Kumbhalgarh, leading to the arrest of five individuals by the Kelwara police.

An investigation has been launched into the case registered against Shastri, and further action will be determined based on the findings of the investigation.

During the Hindu New Year Dharma Sabha held in Udaipur, several saints including Baba Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, narrator Devkinandan Thakur Ji, and Uttam Swami Maharaj of Bageshwar Dham, strongly demanded the declaration of India as a Hindu nation.

At the religious gathering held at Gandhi Maidan, they gave a call to raise a united voice to achieve this goal and urged the thousands of spectators not to rest till it was achieved.

The atmosphere was filled with the chanting of 'Jai Shri Ram' slogans, and Devkinandan Thakur Ji even declared that those who speak up for the Hindu nation will hold the seat of power in the future.
