Hard Work of Farmers Made India in Top Three: PM Modi

The combined efforts of farmers hard work and government policies have made India among the top three countries in terms of some cereals and food products. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this while addressing the Global Potato Conclave in Gujarat via video conferencing on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the steps taken by the Government towards doubling the income of farmers by 2022. He said that the assistance of some six thousand rupees in a year in three installments of two thousand rupees directly to the farmers' account was a big step of the government. Modi said, 'Earlier this month, a new record was created by transferring Rs 12,000 crore to the bank accounts of six crore farmers.'

The Gujarat government has contacted about one hundred youths living in China amid fears of the Corona virus attack, the central and state governments are ready to help if any of them want to return to India. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also discussed the matter with External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, he has assured full help.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has said that two ships will come to India from China on Tuesday and Wednesday, in which Gujarati youth living in China will be brought to India. In China, many people are leaving China due to fear of Corona virus, in such a situation, about one hundred youths there want to return to India, then all arrangements have been made by the Central and Gujarat government to bring them.
