Hardik to Join BJP Today: Ending all speculation, Patidar leader and former working president of Gujarat Congress Hardik Patel will join BJP today. Hardik Patel will join BJP in the presence of Gujarat BJP President CR Patil.

Hardik Patel tweeted in the morning and said that with the feelings of national interest, state interest, public interest and social interest, I am going to start a new chapter from today. I will work as a small soldier in the work of serving the nation under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister of India, Narendra Bhai Modi.

Hardik Patel had resigned from the Congress on 18 May 2022 and since then it was believed that Hardik Patel would join the BJP.

Why Hardik's joining the BJP is important?

28-year-old Hardik Patel led the Patidar reservation movement against the BJP government in 2015 and has since come to the political centre.

This movement was instrumental in the removal of Anandiben Patel, the then Chief Minister and the current Governor of Uttar Pradesh.

Hardik's joining the BJP assumes significance because of the assembly elections due in the state later this year.

Hardik to Join BJP Today: Resigned from Congress on May 18

Hardik Patel, once a fierce critic of the BJP, has started praising the party leadership for recent steps like the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and ensuring the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Hardik openly supported Congress in the 2017 assembly elections. Hardik Patel joined the Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

After this, he was appointed as working president of Congress in Gujarat. Hardik Patel resigned from Congress on 18 May 2022.

On Hardik Patel joining BJP, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of the state Nitinbhai Patel said that any person who is eager to serve the country through BJP, all such persons are very welcome in BJP.
