Army Chief Accepts MS Dhoni’s Request

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat accepts the request of training with the parachute regiment for two months made by previous Indian cricket group skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

MS Dhoni, otherwise called Captain Cool before mentioned the Indian Army to enable him to prepare with a Territorial Army force of the Parachute Regiment for two months. On Sunday, the Army Chief approved this request.

"The request has now been approved by the Indian Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat and the honorary Lt Col would train with the Parachute regiment battalion," top sources told.

Dhoni, who holds a privileged post of Lieutenant Colonel in the Battalion, won't be permitted to be a part of the dynamic activities, sources referenced.

The Indian Cricket Team wicketkeeper will begin off his preparation with the Parachute Regiment, a piece of which will happen in Jammu and Kashmir.

MS Dhoni prior made himself inaccessible for the upcoming West Indies Tour. Group India will visit West Indies for three T20Is and the same number of ODIs, and two Tests which are a part of World Test Championship from August 3 to September 3.
