Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi this year. The dates of these elections are yet to be announced. The Election Commission is preparing to make special arrangements for elections in Delhi this time. Voters can be identified through the QR code during the voting of an assembly election.

A senior official said that the QR code is being worked out for the Delhi Assembly elections. This new technology will speed up the voting process through the QR code of voter slips of new voters. This method will help in rapid identification of voters.

Earlier in November in a press release, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi had said that Delhi will be the first city in the country to use the booth app in every polling station. The five-year term of the government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is going to end in February 2020. There will be elections for this.
