Ranveer Tanwar

The Supreme Court refused to hear BSP supremo Mayawati on the appeal of the Election Commission to remove the ban on promotion for 2 days. The Supreme Court said that we do not think there is no need to think again on this. The Chief Justice also expressed satisfaction over the Election Commission's first decision. Mayawati's counsel Dushyant Dave said that the Election Commission gave unilateral action to the BSP chief without any opportunity to keep her stand. The Commission has imposed a 48-hour ban on their election campaign without hearing the other side. This order should be canceled. The Chief Justice said on this that we do not think there should be any order in it.

Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi while expressing satisfaction over the action of the Election Commission said that it seems that the Election Commission has got his powers back. In such a situation, the court does not need any interim order. The Supreme Court expressed satisfaction over the move of the Election Commission of hate speech and said that there is no need to pass any order.

Describe that the Supreme Court had asked the Election Commission on Monday to decide on what Mayawati and Yogi Adityanath's statement took place when the Election Commission spoke of its limited authority. After this, the Supreme Court had said that on Tuesday the EC will examine the authority of the Election Commission. After that on Monday, the Election Commission had banned Mayawati and Yogi's promotion for some time.
