Chhattisgarh: Missing BJP Leader Murdered, Two Arrested

The body of a local leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was missing in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh, has been recovered by the police and arrested two people on charges of murder. Police officials of Surajpur district said on Tuesday that the body of missing BJP leader Shivcharan Kashi (60) has been recovered from Pasal village under Chandni police station area of ​​the district. Police have arrested Ramkumar Sahu (52) and his son Rohit Sahu (28) in this case.

Police officials said that Shiv Charan Kashi, divisional president of BJP Kisan Morcha Biharpur and resident of Pasal village, had suddenly gone missing at around 9 pm on Saturday night. Later, the family told the police that the sound of firing was heard in the village. Officials said that when the investigation of Kashi was started, at one place in the village, his potpourri and traces of blood were found. Meanwhile, the family members alleged that Kashi was shot dead and the body was hidden somewhere.

At the same time, the family also accused a person of the village of murdering him due to a land dispute. Police officials said that on the basis of suspicion, the police took Ramkumar Sahu and his son Rohit Sahu from the village into custody and they were interrogated. Both father and son later confessed the murder of Kashi.
