Covid made People Aware of Mental Health, Reveals in Survey of Deepika Padukone's organization

Mental health awareness has increased among Indians stricken by the Corona pandemic and they are more inclined to seek treatment for it. This information has come to the fore in a survey. It has been claimed in the survey that in 2018, while only 54 percent of people with mental illness were ready to get treatment, now 92 percent agree to get treatment.

Survey was conducted by Live Laugh Foundation

The survey was conducted by Live Love Laugh Foundation (LLL), a philanthropic trust set up by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. The main objective of this study was to understand the change in knowledge, attitudes and attitudes towards mental health since LLL's first study in 2018.

For the research, LLL entrusted Sattva Consulting to conduct a behavioural survey of 3,497 people in nine cities, namely Bengaluru, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna and Pune, between August 5 and September 9 this year. To promote the perception of mental health treatment, 92 percent of those surveyed said they would seek treatment and help those seeking treatment for mental illness, the research said.

On the other hand, if we talk about 2018, we find that only 54 percent of people had agreed for this. LLL's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anisha Padukone said that it is better to create awareness about mental health in the country and this will make it easier to communicate with the patient. This organization of Deepika Padukone works for mental patients and is ready to provide them with better br health facilities.
