The film 'The Kashmir Files', made on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley, has been in the news since its release and it has also taken political colour. Many states have declared this film tax-free, while in some states prohibitory orders are being implemented regarding this film. In Kota, Rajasthan, officials have imposed Section 144 in the district citing law and order. This prohibitory order will be in force in the district from March 22 to April 21. Officials say that this step has been taken as a precaution ahead of many festivals.

Prohibitory orders not applicable government works

According to the order issued by the District Collector and District Magistrate (Acting) Rajkumar Singh, a ban has been imposed on the gathering of crowds, protests, processions and marches. The festivals of Cheti Chand, Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Baisakhi, Jum'-atul-Wida will be held during this period. The official order states that this order will not apply to works of government, Covid vaccination and police programs.

Gunjal said that the state government is so scared that it has imposed Section 144. The former MLA said, 'No power in the world can stop tomorrow's Chandi March.
