Wellington: Famous filmmaker James Cameron has arrived in New Zealand with a crew team of over 50 members to resume shooting for the sequel to his most awaited movie 'Avatar'. The unit arrived in Wellington, New Zealand on Sunday to prepare to resume shooting for the film. A 54-member team arrived here in a chartered plane. However shooting will not begin immediately, as the team must first place themselves in self-isolation.

Cameron said, "I wanted to return to the work of Avatar, which we are not currently allowed to do under state emergency laws or regulations, so everything has stopped now."

Producer John Landau shared on Instagram that the crew has isolated themselves according to the guidelines set by the New Zealand government. Landau posted, "Made for New Zealand. Our 14-day self-isolation set by the government has begun." Work on the 'Avatar' sequel was halted in March with lockdown orders by the New Zealand government due to the corona virus pandemic."
