Panchayat Elections: Notification Issued by the State Election Commission

In the Alwar and Dholpur districts of Rajasthan, the ruckus of Panchayat elections started from Monday. With the issuance of the notification on behalf of the State Election Commission today, the process of filing nominations started in both districts. The process of filing nominations will continue till October 8. In the elections this time for 72 Zilla Parishad members of both the districts and 504 members of 22 Panchayat Samitis, voting will be done in three phases.

Filing nomination papers will continue every day

According to the schedule issued by the State Election Commission. The process of filing nomination papers started at 11 am, which will continue till 3 pm. The process of filing nomination papers will continue every day till October 8. Nominations will also be filed on the day Navratri begins on October 7. Seeing this, it is expected that a maximum number of nominations are expected to come on the first day of Navratri and the last day of nominations i.e. on 8th October.

The first phase of voting will be held on October 20

After the completion of the process of filling the nomination form on October 8. The candidate will have time to withdraw his nomination till October 11. After that, the candidates will start campaigning. Voting for the first phase will be held on October 20, while the second phase will be held on October 23 and the third phase on October 26. The voting time will be from 8 am to 5 pm. In this election, 3641 polling booths will be set up, on which 27 lakh 2 thousand 791 voters will vote.

Elections will be held in three phases like this

  • Phase I: Kotkasim, Tijara, Behror, Neemrana, Mundawar of Alwar district and Dholpur and Rajkheda Panchayat Samiti of Dholpur district.
  • Second phase: Thanagaji, Raini, Rajgarh, Govindgarh, Laxmangarh, Kathumar, and Dholpur districts of Alwar district's Thanagaji, Bari, and Sampau Panchayat Samiti.
  • Third phase: Elections will be held in Umren, Kishangarhbas, Ramgarh, Malakheda, Bansur and Basedi of Dholpur district, Sarmathura Panchayat Samiti in Alwar.
