The process of signing the Kartarpur Corridor MoU between India and Pakistan was completed today at zero point. It was signed by senior officials from both India and Pakistan. The official letter was signed by the Home Ministry official SCL Das on behalf of India and the Foreign Ministry official Mohammad Faisal on behalf of Pakistan. A large number of Sikh community people from India will be able to use this corridor to visit the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara to celebrate the 550th year of Guru Nanak Dev's birth anniversary.

A formal agreement was signed recently to sign the Bharat Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. Earlier, the signature between the two countries was scheduled to be signed on October 23, but at the last moment it was done a day further. Today, after the wait, the agreement was reached between the two countries.

SCL Das, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, said, 'From today registration can be done online on the portal. For this, registration has to be done by visiting http://prakashpurb550.mha.gov.in. The corridor will be open from dawn to dusk. Pilgrims traveling in the morning must return the same day. The corridor will be open to pilgrims throughout the year, except on special days (which will be reported in advance).

Despite India's opposition, Pakistan is adamant on taking a fee of $ 20 from travelers. India said that it was unfortunate that despite India's opposition, Pakistan has not changed its decision to collect charges from pilgrims. India had asked Pakistan to reconsider the decision to collect the charge from the passengers, but Pakistan did not agree to it.

Pakistan's PM Imran Khan has announced the opening of the Kartarpur corridor from 9 November. This corridor will connect the Darbar Sahib of Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, so that Indian pilgrims will be able to make visa-free movement. Devotees just have to obtain a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib.
