Jio to Offer Free Wi-Fi Calling Service, will be Supported in 150 Mobiles

Reliance Jio has given another new gift to its customers on Wednesday. Reliance Jio has announced the launch of Voice and Video over Wi-Fi service. This service will work on any Wi-Fi and everywhere in India and more than 150 smartphones will support this service of Jio.

Actually Reliance Jio has launched a voice and video service running on Wi-Fi across the country to provide better service and experience to its customers. Jio had been testing this service for many months. But now it will be launched nationwide by 16 January.

The most important thing is that customers of Jio will be able to call for free with the help of Wi-Fi network under this service. A few days ago, the company introduced this service in Delhi-NCR and Chennai circle, but it will be started across the country by 16 January.

Customers can use any Wi-Fi network for Jio Wi-Fi calling. It is not that it can be used only on Jio's Wi-Fi network. Jio users will also be able to make video calls through this service.

For example, if your mobile does not have internet, then you can talk comfortably on the phone by taking a Wi-Fi or hotspot from someone. The biggest advantage of VoWiFi is in roaming, as you can talk for free through any Wi-Fi.

Jio says that the main feature of Jio Wi-Fi calling is that consumers can use Jio Wi-Fi calling using any Wi-Fi network and VoLTE without disturbing voice and video calls and can easily change between Wi-Fi.

Currently, this facility will be supported in 150 mobile phones. You will be able to set up VoWiFi calling only when your phone is going to support WiFi calling and at the same time your telecom operator gives the facility of VoWiFi. You can check by going to your phone's settings. If the option of Wi-Fi calling is visible in the mobile network settings, then you can take advantage of this feature by enabling it.
