Pakistan should Learn From India, Lockdown should be Implemented: Shoaib Akhtar

Akash Singh

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has expressed concern about the current situation of Coronavirus in the country. He said on his YouTube channel, 'Today I went out with some urgent work. I did not shake hands with people nor hug anyone. The entire time my car windows were closed and I returned home as soon as possible. But, during this time I saw very frightening things. Four people are roaming around on a bike, they are spreading the disease to other people as well. People are eating out of the house together. This is not the time for a picnic or holiday. Akhtar demanded a lockdown across the country from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The former fast bowler said that the people of Pakistan are not taking Coronavirus seriously, they should learn something from Indians. The Indian government has imposed lockdown across the country. But, in Pakistan, we are still roaming in the open. 90 percent of the cases come from contact with people, but we are not ready to stay at home. This is a very dangerous situation.

Akhtar has demanded a lockdown across the country from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that Italy made a big mistake by not doing the lockdown in the beginning. Every day people are dying there. I appeal to the Government of Pakistan to give people time to buy essential goods and then lockdown.
