Coronavirus Worldwide: Confirmed Cases Surpasses 191.8 Million-Mark

Coronavirus pandemic continues wreaking havoc worldwide. According to worldometer.com, 191,854,679 cases have been reported so far. Of these, 174,673,792 people have recovered, while 4,115,649 people have died.

Canada to open border for fully vaccinated US citizens in August:

Canada will open its borders to fully vaccinated US citizens next month after a nearly 17-month closure. In a statement released by the Government of Canada, "On September 7, 2021, provided that the domestic epidemiologic situation remains favourable, the Government intends to open Canada's borders to any fully vaccinated travellers who have completed the full course of vaccination with a Government of Canada-accepted vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering Canada and who meet specific entry requirements."

This preliminary step allows for the Government of Canada to fully operationalize the adjusted border measures ahead of September 7, 2021, and recognizes the many close ties between Canadians and Americans," it added.

Fully vaccinated Saudi Citizens can travel outside the Country:

All Saudi citizens will need to be fully Covid-19 vaccinated in order to travel outside the kingdom from August 9, 2021, said the Ministry of Interior on Monday. According to the report, "The decision comes in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Health, and in the context of efforts to control the pandemic, given the emergence of new waves…and new mutants of the virus and the low effectiveness of one dose of the vaccine".

More than 30,000 cases reported in India:

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the Union Health Ministry, India reported 30,093 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. With 374 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 4,14,482.

The country also witnessed 45,254 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,03,53,710. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 97.37 %. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.33 %.
