The ICC has made a big announcement on Thursday. The International Cricket Committee has postponed all qualifier matches until June due to the coronavirus. Due to this epidemic which has killed more than 21 thousand people, the ICC has also had to make a big change in its future tour program (FTP). Even this could affect the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2020.

ICC Men's T20 World Cup Trophy Tour has also been canceled after this announcement by ICC. Apart from this, the ICC has also postponed all the qualifying tournaments till 30 June. ICC event head Chris Tetley said, "Currently, considering the health concerns globally and the decisions of governments worldwide, we have decided to postpone all qualifiers tournaments until June".

He further added, "Our commitment is to the players, officials, and fans. We have to take decisions like this at the behest of the officials. The tournament will be considered only after getting permission from the governments and the coronavirus to recover."  ICC Women's World Cup qualifiers may be held in Sri Lanka from 3 July to 19 July, but conditions will be tracked before that.

The ICC official further said, "We are constantly monitoring the situation closely with our partners and board members." The ICC has also said that the qualifiers events of Men's T20 World Cup 2021 and Men's World Cup 2023 which are to be held this year are also being monitored. Apart from this, it also has an impact on the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia, because 16 teams have been selected, but who will face which team is yet to be decided.
