Twitter's Blue Bird No More: On Monday i.e. April 03, Twitter users signed on and discovered something strange. The bluebird emblem that is commonly seen on Twitter has been changed. Instead of the bird, viewers are shown doge, the Shiba Inu internet meme that Elon Musk, 51, appears to be obsessed with.

The bluebird has been replaced by the doge in the Twitter menu bar. On the site, the doge emblem can be seen replacing the Twitter bird, Larry, in the top left-hand corner menu.

On mobile devices, it replaces the Twitter logo, which was previously located at the very top of the screen. Twitter is also showing the doge joke on the web's loading page screen.

Elon Musk shared a Meme on Twitter

Elon Musk posted a meme emphasising the change after it was implemented. The reason for the modification has yet to be stated by Musk.

Musk also provided a snapshot of a chat he had with an anonymous account in which the user asked that the bird emblem be changed to "doge."

Musk captioned the screenshot, "As promised."

It is unclear whether the modification of the logo is permanent. Musk has been known to taunt both his supporters and his detractors on Twitter. 

The timing is strange, though, because it corresponds with rumours that Musk is attempting to have a dogecoin-related case against him dismissed.

Elon Musk's Relationship to Dogecoin

Elon Musk has extensively pushed the meme coin cryptocurrency Doge over the years. Musk referenced Dogecoin live on-air, and the price swiftly dropped as investors rushed to liquidate their holdings, leaving many regular investors holding the bag.

At the beginning of the year, Dogecoin fluctuated between $.06 and $.08. Last year, investors sued Musk for $258 billion for his claimed participation in a pyramid scheme to support Dogecoin.

According to The Guardian, Elon Musk's attorneys characterised the lawsuit's charges as a "fanciful piece of fiction" based on Musk's "innocuous and frequently foolish tweets" about Dogecoin.
