Rajasthan Cabinet Expansion: Preparations for the expansion of the Cabinet in the new BJP government in Rajasthan are underway. Discussions on the expansion of the Bhajan Lal Sharma government's cabinet were scheduled for today, September 27.

However, sources have now revealed that the Cabinet expansion in Rajasthan is not taking place today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a significant program scheduled for today. PM Modi will engage in a video conference with beneficiaries of the 'Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.'

The interaction is set to take place from 12:30 PM onwards. The program will include the participation of central ministers, MPs, MLAs, and representatives at the local level.

Given these developments, it appears that there is no likelihood of a Cabinet expansion in Rajasthan today. The Cabinet expansion in Rajasthan may now take place tomorrow, on December 28.

New MLAs will be Given Opportunities in Rajasthan

It is believed that similar to Madhya Pradesh, new MLAs will be given opportunities in Rajasthan. Speculation suggests that instead of senior members, a chance may be given to those legislators who have never served as ministers before.

Some senior MLAs may also be appointed as ministers, but their number will not be much. Furthermore, the selection of new ministers is expected to prioritize maintaining a balance between caste and regional representation, especially with an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In this context, it is suggested that in the Shekhawati region, where the BJP's performance has faced challenges, most winning legislators could find a place in the cabinet.

Brahmin CM After 33 Years in Rajasthan

It is noteworthy that after 33 years, a Brahmin leader has been appointed as the Chief Minister in Rajasthan. Additionally, one Deputy Chief Minister is from the Kshatriya community, while the other Deputy Chief Minister belongs to the Dalit community.

In such a situation, there is a preparation within the party to allocate key ministries to OBC and SC leaders.

Discussions are underway regarding assigning both male and female SC leaders responsibilities in the Cabinet and independent charges.

Simultaneously, there is deliberation on giving prominence to OBC faces such as Jats, Malis, Kumavats, and Gujjars in key positions within the Cabinet.
