Bharat Nyay Yatra: Congress has made a significant decision ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Following Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will embark on another yatra.

This new yatra is named 'Bharat Nyay Yatra' and is scheduled to commence on January 14. Spanning from Manipur to Mumbai, Rahul Gandhi will cover a distance of 6,200 kilometres during this yatra.

The Bharat Nyay Yatra will kick off on January 14 and continue until March 20. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will flag off this yatra from Imphal.

Unlike the previous journey, Congress's Bharat Nyay Yatra will not be entirely on foot.

Bharat Nyay Yatra will Cover 85 Districts of 14 States

In this mega yatra (journey), buses will be utilized to cover 85 districts across 14 states. During this 6200 km yatra, the Congress party will pass through the states of Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The journey aims to reach out to the maximum number of people, with buses being the primary mode of transportation.

Apart from using buses, leaders participating in the journey will also walk for short durations at various points along the route.

Bharat Nyay Yatra: Significance Behind the Name

When Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal was asked about the choice of the name for this yatra, he stated that the intention is to assure the public that the party will work towards providing economic, social, and political justice.

The first yatra covered 12 states, while this second yatra, "Bharat Nyay Yatra," will cover 14 states.

The Congress aims to reach as many people as possible through this journey, which is why the party has chosen such a long route.

The journey will commence from Manipur, as the state has been experiencing a prolonged period of violence since May of last year.

Despite the combined efforts of the central and state governments, violence in Manipur has not been effectively curbed. Rahul Gandhi had also visited Manipur for a few days recently, where he met with the victims of violence.

In addition to this, the Congress had brought a no-confidence motion against the government in Parliament concerning the violence in Manipur, although the motion was eventually defeated.

Now, based on the situation in Manipur, the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are preparing to create a nationwide sentiment against the government.
