Bhajan Lal was born on 15 December 1968 in an ordinary Brahmin Family in village Atari of Bharatpur District (Rajasthan). Father Kishan Swaroop was marginal farmer and mother Gomati Devi was a home maker.
After completion of schooling from Nadwai High School in year 1986, Bhajan Lal completed his graduation from MSJ college, Bharatpur.
Bhajan Lal completed his post-graduation in 1993 from Rajasthan University as Non college student. He holds master's in political science.
At the professional level, just like his political career Bhajan Lal had a humble beginning. Bhajan Lal’s family owns small track of ancestral agricultural land but that has never been enough to make both ends meet for the family.
He started off as milk vendor from his native village. Bhajan Lal could only afford a four-wheeler in 2009, after his appointment as President of Bharatpur BJP unit.
Now a days Bhajan Lal owns a business of agriculture and mineral equipment Supply and lives in a humble apartment in Malaviya Nagar, Jaipur.
Personal Life-
Bhajan Lal is Married to Geeta Sharma and has two sons. Elder son Ashish is a doctor by profession and younger son Kunal, works in a small private firm after failing to crack state PCS exam. His Mother and father still live in ancestral home in Bharatpur District.
Bhajan Lal has 34 years long career as a BJP leader. In BJP circles he is perceived as ‘Humble and Selfless party worker”
Bhajan Lal Joined ABVP when he was in 10th Standard. He participated in Kashmir march of ABVP in 1990 for the ‘Kashmiri Pandit’ cause and also gave voluntary arrest in Udhampur(J&K).
Bhajan Lal being an active member of RSS, also participated in “Ram Janm Bhoomi Andolan” and faced arrests in 1992.
At the age of 27 Bhajan Lal, won the panchayat elections from his village Atari.
But, in 2003 he rebelled against the BJP and fought assembly election from Bharatpur, under the banner of “Samajik Nyay Manch”. Bhajan Lal however faced a crushing defeat. As only 5699 Votes were cast in his favour.
Bhajan Lal would re-join BJP and started performing institutional responsibilities in BJP. As a result, Bhajan Lal climbed up the ladder of Hierarchy within the BJP and got appointed as District Vice-president of Bharatpur BJP, President of Bharatpur BJP and state general secretary of BJP. For over a decade he held the post of State Vice-president and State General Secretary of BJP in Rajasthan.
Considering 34 year long, selfless career of Bhajan Lal, BJP Higher Command gave him an opportunity to contest in 2023 assembly elections from BJP Stronghold Sanganer constituency of Jaipur District. Bhajan Lal prevailed with a massive margin of over 40,000+ votes.
But little did Bhajan Lal know that BJP will play gambit over him ignoring the old warhorses of the state and appoint a first time Legislator as Chief of Largest State.
